Cursed Child Day in Toronto and performances begin
On May 31st, Yonge-Dundas Square became a meeting place for Harry Potter fans from all across the city. The cast arrived in style on the Cursed Child double-decker bus to kick-start the festivities. Hundreds of fans came to the celebration and experienced a special moment of magic - one of many that makes Cursed Child so extraordinary. Fans in their favourite Harry Potter costumes met the cast of Cursed Child, had photo-ops with their Hogwarts House Banner, enjoyed delightful Hogwarts cookies and cupcakes from Grand Order of the Divine Sweets, hopped on the Cursed Child bus and had a chance to meet many fellow wizarding world enthusiasts.
Celebrations continued at the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre with the first performance for Cursed Child. With the audience nestled into their seats at the newly transformed theatre, they were the first in Toronto and all of Canada to see this all-Canadian cast perform. They came early and in costume to marvel at the magical moments in the theatre, enjoy the enchanting Sorting Hat cupcakes and Hogwarts cookies, and even brought a little bit of the wizarding world home with them from our gift shops.
