Gander Commemorates 20th Anniversary of 9/11
To mark the 20th Anniversary of 9/11, the Town of Gander and its partners are hosting a two-day event that will include:
- a unique Art Installation by artist Nina Elliott
- a Book Launch and Signing Event featuring local Authors Mac Moss and Dawn Baker
- an Untold Stories event at the historic Gander Airport International Lounge
- a dedication of the new 9/11 Monument at the Town Hall
- a Commemoration Service to honour the lives lost that tragic day, pay tribute to first responders, and commemorate the friendships made and bonds formed in Central Newfoundland during those five days that the planes were grounded. This service, on September 11th at 12:30PM EDT, will be broadcast live on the Come From Away Toronto Facebook page.
